- Access Empty Cymatic Slots
- Edit Banks
- Add Banks
- Show / Hide Dashboard & Sidebar
- Toggle Transposition Bar Display
- Rotate Scale Degree
- Rotate Bank
⚠️ Playback is disabled in config mode (selection of cymatics will not trigger playback)
To enter/exit config mode, select the bank/gear icon in the bottom left.
Access Empty Cymatic Slots #
When in config mode, all empty ‘cymatic slots’ become gray cymatics, which allows them to become selected and ‘initialized’ by being assigned a scale. Note that while in config mode, selection of cymatics will not generate any audio/MIDI, but rather will only select a cymatic for configuration.
Edit Banks #
To edit a bank name or description, delete a bank, or create a bank template from a given bank, double tap/click the bank name.
Add Banks #
To add banks to a palette, select the box with the + above the bank name at the top of the palette.
From the bank templates menu, select any number of bank templates by checking the checkboxes to the left of each template. To add selected banks, select the ‘Add Selected Banks’ button.
Show / Hide Dashboard & Sidebar #
In Config Mode, you can hide/show the Dashboard and/or the Sidebar This can help maximize the size of the palette and minimize the number of elements on the screen at once.
Use the show/hide arrows to the bottom or right of palette to respectively toggle the Dashboard or Sidebar visibility.
Toggle Transposition Bar Display #
While in config mode, you can toggle the display of the transposition bar using the label icon to show:
- Numerals
- Letter
- None
Rotate Scale Degree #
To either side of the transposition bar there are rotation arrows. S
- Selecting the arrow will rotate the scale degrees in that direction.
- Cymatics are follow the scale degree and thus rotate with.
- The position of scale degree 1 is marked with a line directly to the left of it.
- The leftmost scale degree will always have the lowest sounding bass note (assuming all cymatics share the same octave setting). Rotating the scale degree allows the bass notes of other scale degrees to sound lower than scale degree 1.
Rotate Bank #
The arrows to the left and right of each bank allow for that bank’s cymatics to rotate their position within the grid. This allows for easy permutation of banks, including simple configuration for multiple tonal (key) centers in different banks instead of using transposition bar or key setting in dashboard. The bank rotation offset is relative to the scale degree rotation offset. Like rotate scale degree, a bar is shown directly to the left of scale degree 1 to indicate its relative offset.
