The key is the fundamental reference pitch by which all cymatic’s in a palette derive their respective roots. Each Chromatic Scale Degree (a cymatic’s relative horizontal position within a bank) references the pitch defined by the key.
The easiest way to transpose (change keys) is by using the Transposition Bank (the ‘bank’ of gray cymatics at the top of the palette). To transpose/modulate to a new key, simply find the ‘column’ associated with the pitch of the target key, and select the gray cymatic in that ‘column’.
The Key can also be set in the dashboard (for more precise control of preferred enharmonic key spelling)
